St. Wilfred’s College of Law offers two courses in law – LL.B for 3yrs and B.L.S. LL.B for 5 yrs law degree course. The courses is independent of the other and is in accordance with the rules laid down by the University of Mumbai and the Bar Council of India. Each course has its own admission criteria as follows.
Duration:- 3 yrs
There is a three year course for the Degree of Law, and the teaching is conducted through the lecture method, practical and the class performance during the session and examinations and is conducted through written papers, practical and viva-voice.
SC, ST & Other Backward Class :-
Minimum 40% in Graduation from a recognized University Board.
OPEN :-
Minimum 45% in Graduation from a recognized University Board.
Eligibility :-
Bar Council of India may from time to time, stipulated the minimum percentage of marks not below 45% of the total marks in case of SC and ST applicants, to be obtained for the qualifying examination. Provided that such a minimum qualifying marks shall not automatically entitle a person to get admission into an institution but only shall entitle the person concerned or by the government concerned from time to time to apply for admission. Applicants who have obtained First degree certificate after prosecuting studies in distance or correspondence method shall also be considered as eligible for admission in the integrated or 3 year LL.B. Course as the case may be. However, the applicants who have obtained graduation / post graduation through open universities system directly without having any basic qualifications for prosecuting such studies are not eligible for admission in law courses (Circular by BCI No. LE. Cir.: 02/2010 dtd. 20-12-2010.
Duration:- 5 yrs
The college offer Bachelor of Law (Integrated Law). The Five Year Integrated Law Course Leading to B.L.S.LL.B Degree is a ten semester full time course. Performance of each of the student shall be evaluated by the examination conducted at the end of each semester and also the performance in the Practical Training Subjects as per the guidelines issued from time to time by the Bar Council of India. The B.L.S. degree is a great boon to the students as the student is declared a graduate after 3 years and becomes free to pursue other PG courses side by side and also become eligible to apply for jobs or give various entrance exams .

However, the applicants who have obtained 10+2 through open universities system directly without having any basic qualifications for procecuting such studies are not eligible for admission in law courses (Circular by BCI No. LE. Cir.: 02/2010 dtd. 20-12-2010.
